Ph8's 225 build

Any update on the hooded. I have often thought about getting a pair of these to add to my collection. Hope your female is continuing to improve.

She's perfect, eating great and everything. I've never seen a fish make such a drastic turn like that, she completely acted like she was on her way out. I've had them lay on the bottom and play dead before but not swim almost upside down and then lay on the bottom barely breathing for an entire day.

Brett, Glad to hear the Hooded is doing well! Looking forward to seeing all the new guys once they make it over to the DT!

Drove down to Tuscon this past weekend and stoped by Brett's place and all I can say is WOW WOW WOW one of the best tanks I've seen!!!!!

Thanks, your welcome any time man.just wish I could keep some of those awesome chalices of yours.

Glad to hear the hooded is doing well. Sometimes it amazes me how resilient these creatures are.

Glad the hooded is done well!! I have seen the same thing happen with my seahorses. I got a pair in and they played dead and I thought for sure they would be dead the next morning. However, the next morning they were hitched to my feeding station waiting for a meal.

Thanks, she's gonna be a keeper for sure. Now I just hope she plays nice with everybody! I've heard they can be a little on the aggressive side.

Glad to see you still going strong Brett. I stop by R2R quite often to read but still can't push myself to setting up a tank yet. My son wants me to setup the smaller tank I bought for he Nano in 90 contest but I don't know. It wouldn't cost me that much cause I kept a lot of the equipment for that tank.

Maybe one day. haha.

Hey Brett how are the QT residents doing? I just picked up two female hooded from LA myself. Interested to hear how your new gal is doing. Hope all is going well.

Hey man, we miss you around here. Sorry I missed your post back in February I don't post too much in this thread anymore cause it doesn't change a whole lot. Hopefully one day you'll be ready, I have some corals waiting for you when your ready.

The QT is doing well other than a pair of Sunburst Anthias I ordered recently. In the 10g there is a C. Attenuatus ( my second cause the first was terrified of his tank mates and went insane) the 20L has 5 fish all about to make their way to the DT. Here's what we got
Midas blenny
Small Juvie pintail wrasse
Line spot flasher
Tiny little file fish (was a pair but I found the female stuck to the power head one day) :(
Little hooded female, doing amazing!

After these guys go in I'm on hunt for just a couple more fish(amazingly not wrasses, haha) and then I'm gonna call it stocked. The SPS are so overgrown, I don't have too much space anymore. Sometimes I wished I lived someplace with more reefers so I could thin them out without having to ship.

Getter done!

Nice Brett. Glad to hear everything is doing well.

As far as being done stocking, we have all lied to ourselves at one point or another. It must be your turn. Lol.

Ha ha thanks man, if you would just buy me a bigger tank I'd be all set

I ran it by the keeper of the funds last night and got a flat veto. Doesn't look good for the appeals process either.

Besides, shipping would kill you from Michigan to Arizona. Lol. Have a good day Brett.

So I put the pintail in the acclimation box last night and ten minutes later I walk buy and she's swimming out in the open, guess the powerhead blew the lid open just enough for her to squeeze out. Next thing I see is her chasing the other wrasses around, she's easily the tiniest fish in the tank but what a tough little fish.

The attenuatus remain in QT and is a big wimp. I'm not sure what to do with him, he needs a lot more boldness or the DT will never be an option for him.

Few pics, the corals lost a little color due to treating the tank with prazi recently due to flukes, sigh. Things seem to be getting better by the day though

new little file, was a pair but his wife didnt make it through QT :(

Nice update Brett. The corals are looking good. Those look like some nice big colonies in there.

That is great about the pintail. It just goes to show that we can't predict who will be the most aggressive sometimes. Sounds like the little pintail is going to be just fine.

I feel like I've abandoned this thread. Truth is I'm too lazy to break out the camera. I'll do some soon!
