Phosphate remover sponge/pads?

I am wondering, how effective are something like the fluval phosphate foam/pads? Are these worth it, compared to something like seachems phosbond or phosguard? I have the fluval Evo 13.5 tank and don't have to means for a reactor.

Bumping again because im wondering the same thing as the OP.
PO4 absorbing sponges in general not just fluval brand.

Bag of chemi pure elite in high flow worked great for me to lower PO4, but pricey.

Fauna Marin 004 worked very well too and this I can run continuously and it won’t zero out phosphate, but pricey.

I tried the PAD’s for a few different things but tests didn’t show much change if any.

So work, maybe, but effective, not to me.

Most aggressive was Rowa Phos.

Pads and such that incorporate GFO can work, but are quite a lot more expensive than GFO alone and will deplete rapidly since they do not have much in them. .
