Phosphates

Welcome to R2R! You can try feeding less, rinsing your frozen foods, use products like Reef Roids sparingly, up your husbandry.

Sorta kinda have no space in my sump for an algae scrubber.

You could try phosban. It comes in a mesh packet and you can add it to a good flow area in your sump without taking up a lot of space. Just be sure to rinse it well before using it

Awe man you guys are great; I love it here. Thank you so much for your experienced opinions I will definitely let you all know which route I choose

Phosphate RX is just a temporary fix, you definitely need to narrow the issues causing the increase.

If you decide to use lanthanum chloride, be sure to read up on the process. It's VERY effective but needs to be done carefully. @slief has a great write-up/tutorial on it at RC. Here is a video he made.

Thanks! Glad you sent that video!

Rn it is 0.15
Can I ask, are you experiencing any particular problems that you believe are related to your phosphate level?
which test kit you use to measure PO4?
& what level is your nitrate at?

Nitrates is at about 15 and I used the Hanna checker for phosphate. And I don’t have a refugium or algae scrubber of any kind. No visible issues and it’s the first it actually got so high in about two years
