Your phosphate is fine and I would not boost it.

If you are looking for actual phosphorus, you are likely to get the FBI after you since it is used in incendiary devices. lol

Morning
But I’m dosing nopox, isn’t there a need for po4 to reduce no3?

Yes, but 0.07 ppm is plenty, and more will not necessarily make it any faster or more efficient. If it declines below about 0.03 ppm, then yes, it is worth dosing phosphate.

Hi guys

This mornings results
Po .03 ( Salifert) Hannah reads lower )
No3 50-75

I can use nopox no more cos it’ll strip my last bit of po4 so I’m switching to vinegar until Monday I go the lfs , Agreed?
Unless nitrates come down with the vinegar

If the Hanna ULR phosphate test is reading under 0.03 ppm you are borderline.

That tester has an accuracy of +/- 0.03 so a reading of 0.03 could be 0.00.
Most folks aim for a reading of 0.05 to 0.10 ppm

Going to do a 30% water change too, I live 300m from the ocean so may collect the water from a rock pool that’s formed with high tide

Looks like you are using a DSB, perhaps that has an impact on your Nitrates? Not sure if it does or not but I thought I would mention it to see if one of the other more knowledgeable guys knows.

I have a dsb thread about questioning the flow since it only has a low flow over it because it’s 6” below the baffle
