I posted this in the nutrition forum but it got no answers, so I’m trying here.

I have upgraded my phytoplankton culture setup from 16oz, 64oz to 1gal containers. Normally I would harvest at day 5 or 6 but the 1gals seem to be taking longer. I’m at Day 7 right now. Do larger containers take a longer time? When I first started culturing in the smaller containers I started with Nannochloropsis and have not had any crashes. The salinity is 1.019 and I put 3ml of Micro Algae Grow for the 1gal cultures.

This is what I started off with first.

This is the upgraded version.

When it’s in the 1gal it seems really dark.

But transferred to the 16oz it doesn’t have the dark green.

But if I put the bottle on top of my strong flashlight it shows the dark green. This is Day 10

This is Day 13. Should I let it go longer or do you think this will be the darkest?
