So I just got a Picasso trigger for my fowlr tank and was wondering what to feed?? I've been giving it fresh shrimp and loves it but didn't know if I need to give something for its teeth?

Nothing special they seem to keep them in check all on their own, I've never fed anything specific to address their teeth. You'll see them moving rocks around, crunching crushed coral, using their their teeth for all kinds of destruction(hehe). I couldn't keep any snails or anything with the 2 I've had.

I would think triggers are fairly sturdy fish. If feeding fresh shrimp,do Ya have the shrimp heads as well? I bet they would love that.
Hey Lion King. How did the 2 triggers get along? Did You add them together or separate?

They were 2 separate tanks over the years.

Ok sounds good I see him pecking at the rocks alot and pretty good at cleaning the holes in the rocks haha and I'm keeping an eye on the snails that are in there too. Thanks for the info

Triggers don't have ever growing beaks like some other species. You can feed them pretty much anything.

Drop a clam in there. Get live from the grocery store, freeze to kill parasites, and then thaw and split. My triggers love them.

We always fed ours clams on the half shell, silversides, and mixtures of frozen and pellets. Marley ate pretty much everything. Including any clean up crew we attempted to put in the tank.
