I picked up one of these from divers den. Came in browned out which is fine but I've had it for several weeks now and while it doesn't have tissue loss or recession it has had zero polyp extension. It also sits near several other acro frags and a mille which are all looking great. Its on the sand right now until i finish curing out more rock to add and scape.

Perameters as of yesterday.
SG: 1.025 refractometer
Alk: 9.6 DKH hanna
Ca: 480 api
Mg: 1200 (been dosing a little to bring # up) salifert
PO4: 0.00 hanna
Nh3: 0 API (salifert test kit on the way)

I've increased feeding to try and keep some nutrients in the water.

System is a 60 cube with eshopps 1200 sump (i believe)
SB reeflight 16" wifi
Curve 5 skimmer
Gfo reactor currently with 1/2 the recomended amount of media
Filter socks changed overy 4-5 days.

Should i be worried? I'm not overly worried now but I'd hate to lose the piece.

Scape shot from the other day

It sits near the center there with the other SPS frags

more flow or light ?
Thats my next move but i wanna wait till i get my new rock in before placing any new frags (rock is still a few weeks out with the curing process). There isnt a ton of flow there but there is constant random water movement though that area. Almost too much water movement for my fungia to stay fully extended.

2 pp8 on 90% wave setting in the back and 2 mp10s on 70% reef crest provide flow in the tank

Also dose kalk and 2 part to maintain cal/alk. Kalk dosed 50ml every 2 hours and 2 part to keep perameters stable(just takes a 7ml of both/day)

Kalk is also mixed with 60ml of vinegar/gal for carbon dosing.

Dose mag by hand

Well, a local reefer stopped by tonight and noticed red bugs on the frag. It was removed and dipped. Will get a few follow up dips too over the next few weeks. Dang it! I hate red bugs

A. millepora is an Acropora species with an exceptional polyp size and polyp extension. Other species like A. echinata will never show much polyp extension. Maybe this species is of the latter kind.
