Hello,
About 2 months ago, a package from Indonesia arrived at the local store. Among the orders were Pikachu's frags.
Most corals usually lose their color after shipping. This coral came in a gray color and only the tips are yellowish green.
And in appearance it differs from the pikachu in the photos from the forum.

To my question, the store owner said that this is an Indonesian type of Pikachu and it is different in shape, but the yellow color should return.
I checked with two more people who bought it and their frags also did not change their color.
Anyone have any thoughts?

LOL, if you're referring to TCK Picachu, then that's not really how names work. They are about lineage so that you know you are getting a specific coral. Generally speaking Indonesian transhippers don't name the maricultured pieces. More than likely the LFS owner called it this because it may have originally had similar coloration. Maricultured pieces almost always change coloration once in captivity, so it's no surprise that it no longer looks like a "Pikachu type" coral. Give it time, and it may turn into something amazing, but I would not refer to it as a Pikachu. Or at the very least mention that it's not TCK Picachu if you are describing or selling it.
