Pin cushion urchin sick?

Ok so I have two pin cushion urchins I bought from Algae barn. I have had them for about 6 months now. Only one seems to be growing. No big, until recently. I have been having some issues with my tank since the hurricane and have not been running the skimmer much and not dosing two part.

One urchin is roaming around getting big dosen't seem to be bothered. The other one noticed tucked himself into a corner in the rocks and remained there for about 2-3 days, I didn't see much movment or tentacle extensions. He just not decided to start moving around, but still not very active. Any thougths on what is going on? Maybe he didn't like the changes? My sea hair seems to be doing OK, so the tank can't be that bad right?

Anythoughts would be appreciated.

Has he been losing spins ?
He could be eating something and it taking him awhile

He looks a bit less spiney but nothing obvious. He definetly dosent have his tentacles out though, and those weird white bubbles that are attached to him have dissapeared.

What did the white bubbles look like ?

This is the best I could get. The balls just look like small white that move wither the current. Maybe it’s just a curled up tentacle. He went back into his cove

Did you ever find out what the little white balls were? Mine has the same things now...
