pink tip condy changing color

i got a pink tip condy at petco (i know lol) it was solid white with pink tips when i got it, and now its starting to change colors, pink tips look fine but the tenticles are starting to turn brown, also around the base of some of the tenticles it has started to get a flourecent green look. going to share a few pics but dont think you can really see the green in them.

im pretty sure the nem is fine and this means its doing good but i want to verify sense im still learning.

lack of algea on rocks is because i had weak lights before, i just upgraded to a diy cree setup

also dont mind the copods taking over my glass lol. i just got a goby not long ago.

I think that is a common color change in an aquarium setting for this anemone. The nice thing about this anemone is it will let you know if it does not like the lighting or flow by moving to a spot that it likes. when it finds a spot and does not move anymore then don't change your lighting or flow and it should stay put. If it never stops moving through your tank then something is off in your water chemistry, flow, or lighting.

ah ok ty, thats what i thought, i have had it for about a month now, i put it in that spot and it stayed there.

Yes, turning brown is an indication the zooxanthellae are recolonizing the tissue, which is indeed a good thing. Much of Condylactis nutrition is provided in nature by the zooxanthellae that live in their tissue.
