Yes! Other pipe fish LOVE friends! They are intelligent fish and will love other species of them self! However, if you see them nipping at eatchother and DO DAMAGE, seperate them however, I have never seen an aggressive pipe fish! Good luck! Can we put dragon, blue stripe and many banded together?
Great.. same species do fight right?Yes! Other pipe fish LOVE friends! They are intelligent fish and will love other species of them self! However, if you see them nipping at eatchother and DO DAMAGE, seperate them however, I have never seen an aggressive pipe fish! Good luck!
Im making a low flow separate tank..Can you put these in a mixed reef? Or do they need a low flow tank?
No, sorry for not stating that. They will be fine with any other type of pipefish, even a huge one! Or even a small one. They’ll know it’s their own kind!Great.. same species do fight right?
YES! It would love you for that!Would I be able to put one in a 400g mixed reef with reef safe fish?
Just make sure they can’t go head first into the pump! If the slits in it are bigger than its head, get a smaller pump, a guard, or a bigger pipe fish! Well anyways, good luck!Awesome! I was scared of them and the pumps more than the fish.
Yeah, sadly, these awesome little guys have not much fin, thus leading to a lot of pain for them being circled around and around forcefully buy the strong current/flow!I atleast know one thing, that they prefer low flow.
Yes, thats why building a separate low flow tank. Also a new project is always fun..Yeah, sadly, these awesome little guys have not much fin, thus leading to a lot of pain for them being circled around and around forcefully buy the strong current/flow!
Males of the same species are likely to fight but other than that normally they shouldn't fightGreat.. same species do fight right?

True, thats the reason im going for a new low flow setup. Not sure if I'd do that. I've heard that they are not recommended to be kept in mixed reefs. I've read some things about poor compatibility with other common fish, and they should be kept with slower species, like seahorses and gobies. I'd at least check out liveaquaria.com before continuing.
