Pipefish and Wrasse

So i had a pipefish for about a month in my loaded wrasse tank...and after a month pipefish didn't make it. Would the wrasse consume the same food as the pipefish would?? basically beat the pipefish to their supply?? Thanks in advance!!

Yes. Wrasses will eat the same copepods that the pipefish will eat. Since I added my Sixiline to my tank, I have rarely seen any copepods.

Terrible tank for a pipefish, it's hard enough getting them to eat in the first place, much less having to compete with fish that it could never compete with even when eating. Please no more pipes in this tank!
