They are actually a true yellow. The blue tissue can go from grey blue to deep baby blue depending on variables.
 
Yes those are mature areas un-cut portions of the colony.

Does it eat well? Or slow grower?

Thanks. Grows like any other favia. Pretty quick depending on nutrient load, light, flow Alk Ca Mag etc.... and if you target feed.
