Pistol shrimp nitrate

Hello, I have a 30 gallon tank. I have some fish and corals already. My nitrates read 30-40 ppm. I’m trying to bring them down with water changes and a reef octo hob skimmer. I plan to also add a little bit of chaeto in my main display to help. I heard pistol shrimp are sensitive to nitrates. Will it die if I add it to my tank?
