Plastic container for culturing

I was wondering if this container is safe to use for culturing phytoplankton and copepods? Looking for a cheap way to diy.

I would say yes. I use 2 liter pop bottles for phyto (phyto needs that dent in the bottom of the bottle), and I bought a couple of tupperwares from the dollar store for the copepods.

That’s fine I use these containers to store my live phyto and so far no issues when I start another culture

I used a 1 gallon container of distilled water. I've also used a 5 gallon tank. You can pretty much use whatever but the larger the easier. You can buy a sieve to filter the pods out when you do water changes.

I've decided to use 1 gallon glass jars. I also got 2 different size sieves on the way for filtering out the adults and water changes.
