Plate coral injury?

Anyone know what this could be? It looks as if it was injured, but I don't know how. Its the brown stringy patch near its middle.

Its mouth is open at the top. I was feeding it krill. But if you look just below the mouth, you will see the brown part where a "tentacle" should be.
 
Looks like the tentacle might of caught some debris or detritis.

So this is what's coming out of my plate coral where I thought it was damaged. Any idea what it is?
 
I have seen pics of a plate that split. Does it look like a second mouth?
 
Don't stress if it is an injury. I had one of mine get a large chunk taken out by a crab, it recovered just fine.
