Got it a few days ago and it seems to be coming to a head with a bit too much skeleton definition for my liking. Thoughts?

Is alk and major elements in line with the environment it was in with the buyer? Judging by just the picture my first thought is too much flow. That's suspect number one. There could be pests. -bristle worms, amphipods, etc. Could also be in too high par. Does it look like it's bleaching?
I've seen them act this way in large alk swings or higher than necessary flow.
