So I have an awesome piece of symphillia..last night I noticed one of my clowns picking at it-nothing too crazy just a couple nibbles. Well, today I come home and it's a bit receded and some die off has occurred. I dipped for eight mins in a 1.5 dose of iodine (Dip from Seachem). Praying that the die off discontinues...
question is: can I just cut the dead part off? Would a clean cut be better than leaving the skeleton exposed? I feel like nothing fully recovers when the skeleton is exposed. Please advise.

Thanks!

Looks like something stung it. What's its neighbors? I wouldn't cut it just yet. It should be able to rebound.

Yeah, clown was definitely picking the dead tissue. I can't tell you exact params at the moment, but will get that after work(fingers crossed between now and then).
I shall refrain for cutting for right now.

Thanks guys
