I think I've got the return line to the display the way I want it, just needs paint.
The overflow down to the sump needs a gate valve, then some sort of a bracket to hold it in place.
That's good to hear that a company designed it for that tank. Makes me feel better as mine was built with parts I collected as scrap from work.I haven't put water in it yet.
It's a 55 gallon.
The stand was custom built by a company that specializes in aluminum. They do a lot of stands, so I trust their design.
It will work. Don't glue anything inside the overflow box, inside the tank, or directly over water in the sump. You can work on the standpipes and return outlets later. Reducing the left outlet, to optimize flow on right side ,can be done in tank later. Unless you want to redo the return now. It could be better but you already have 1" holes in glass. I would leave it as is, who knows maybe one day you'll redo it splitting down to 1/2" returns over the back glass and use the holes for closed loop flow(no powerheads?)Well, I think it's about ready for glue unless anyone has suggestions.
Thank you for all of the input so far. It's a much better design now.![]()
