Please see attached..
I am concerned about my uv setup.
I am running the flow thru the uv at 951 gph sicce pump. But then I have to reduce the flow with a valve after it goes thru the uv so that my water levels stay consistent. My return pump is a vectra m1 at full power I think as it is blinking green but lights are on as full.
When I fully open valve for full flow chamber 1 water level drops when I slightly open it my water level stays where it's at. With that valve slightly open reducing flow is that effecting the fats flow thru uv? Thanks all

The water level drops when wide open because your pushing more water into your DT than is being returned.

You may need to slow your return pump a bit.

When you add a UV, you need to re-tune the flow on both.

Sounds to me like your pumping more water into the display than it can replace via your overflow. If you want, test out with an hob overflow if you can borrow one, (try to pipe/plumb it with a valve). Then open the valve and see if the levels changes, if they do that's your problem.

If it still drops increase the diameter of the piping. Eventually you can dial in the return and overflow.

Problem is I can't seem to control the flow on my vectra m1.. it just shows full power with a blinking green light

The uv pump sicce 951 gph pushes so much water I turned of my return pump and we have equilibrium.
