Hey my tanks been running for 4 months, my fish all seemed to be ok but I did notice my clown tang has been swimming very fast around the tank at night and sometimes he will go on his side to rub the sand or a rock. All my fish were fine today but randomly I could not find my black clownfish, a couple hours later I found him dead in the rocks. My other clownfish seems to be breathing heavy and it looks like his face is turning whitish ( could just be from lights changing at night) I pulled the dead clownfish out and here is a photo on him. What could this be from literally all parameters are great and corals are doing great as well!

What are your actual parameter numbers? Saying “they’re great” doesn’t give us much to work with.

I would guess flukes based on your description. But I’m by no means an expert.

I’m going to call in some help

Do you dose carbon?
Is the tank in room with people or pets?

I’m still thinking is a disease of some kind based on the scratching against rocks of the one fish and the rapid breathing of others.

but I agree with the above questions

I'm considering your oxygenation and co2.
Is your ph normal or low?
Are the windows open or ac on?
Only have AC on and my PH is at normal level. My other clownfish seems to be breathing a little heavy and swimming funny. Could he just be stressed that his buddy died

Evening,

Are you able to get a picture of any of the other fish that do not look right? The way it sounds I would be worried about possibly brook or velvet. A fresh water dip may give some relief while we see if a disease person is around to help. A picture of one in the tank will really help as well.

The fact that the fish was rubbing against the sand bed could be flukes or Ick, but I am not a expert on fish diseases, so I will let the experts chime in.

Sorry for your lose. :(

I understand that you say your parameters are great, but can you please list them?

Also, what is the normal tempo of the tank? Is 81.6 normal?

Not to get all scientific but higher temperatures increase the metabolic function of fish causing them to become more active. Increased activity decreases oxygen levels within the tank. Based on your low ph levels this could also be an indicator of low oxygen levels. I would recommend testing. Your ammonia as well.
