there are these little purple specs all through the tank
I’m hoping it’s the long awaited coraline

Until its time to scrape off the pumps and glass

Coraline. Pin cushion urchin will clean it up or gently scrape off with edge of old credit card or similar

Always a good feeling when it gets there, and ya cleaning it off the surfaces you dont want it is a pain but worth it.
