Please help me identify this coral

nice coral, Iv'e tried 2 in the past .Both didn't last over a year for me.

I think we've all had a species or two that just wouldn't survive our tank. A friend who is a master aquarist can't get Xenia (yes the weed) to grow no matter what.

It's chalice and Yuma for me, not sure what the deal is but ive never had any success with those guys .

Interesting! Mine sure doesn't look anything like yours. I can't even find a mouth. But i will admit I'm a rookie .

Don't worry there's lots to learn and even the most seasoned are still learning. There are so many different variations of the plate corals. Mine was actually a funky looking little bud that popped up on a zoa rock at my LFS and I talked him into snipping it off for me. That was about 2 years ago I think. Here's some better pictures
