Hi brothers. I just lost one pygmy angel fish which looked weird like the below. I added yellow tang recently and i notice a weird wound as well. No attackers in the tank. No other tangs as well. This little fella is active and swims but badly injured. Please advice.

Im attaching the video here which i uploaded in youtube for reference

Tough to see. Is the wound red? Did the angel scratch or have any weird behavior? This isn’t a yellow tang by the way. It’s probably a mimic tang. He most likely has bacterial infection and can only be effectively treated with antibiotics in a QT. If you can’t do that then the best thing you can do is to keep up the water quality and feed him well & hope his immune system can fight it off.

I didnt notice if he scratched. But the same issue i had with my cherub angel fish and unfortunately i lost him. And yes this is yellow mimic tang. I cant catch him to put in QT Tank as he is too tiny and i have to remove entire scape in my tank. Wound is red and white.
