Please please please help my anemone I think he will die soon!!!!!!!
To start I'm a novice. I've had this white bubble tip anemone for 4-5 months now. At first he was situated in one spot for approximately 3 months fully open. I tried to give him mysis, shrimp and actual for anemones and I don't think I've ever had great success. I don't believe he's ever closed up and ate anything. As opposed to my rose one who I've seen immediately close up and eat whatever I've given him.
Then are some point, the white anemone started moving everyday in and out of the light. He would appear everyday in a new spot. I would put food in his mouth and it would fall out.
Now he's been steadily next to the rose tip. However, he seems to weK to eat or I don't know what the issue could be. The past week since I've been able to reach him I've tried giving him shrimp, mysis and anemone food. All which he lets fall out of his mouth. Today I tried to cover them after the lights went out so maybe the shrimp wouldn't bother them but he still never closes.
I have a fluval led lighting (pictures attached)
A 90 gallon tank
And I've checked everything for long tine
Nitrates, ammonia, nitrites are all 0
Calcium, magnesium, alkalinity and ph are within the parameters .
The only thing high are the phosphates which were 3.0 but are going down daily because I'm using phosoguard and doing weekly water changes.
And on a side not my clown fish host neither anemone.
PLEASE any suggestions would help. ANYONE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!
I beg you I'm a novice and maybe I'll get some nasty posts that I shouldn't have bought him. However I did my research beforehand, everything was going great with my tank and the lfs (who are very honest with me when buying coral and livestock) said I was ready for him). So please no bashing just need help!
BY THE WAY I MADE A PREVIOUS POST WHICH IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME EDIT. I POSTED THE WRONG NAME OF THE LIGHTING SOURCE.
