Please please tell me this is normal........ on a Powderblue Tang

I'm keeping my fingers crossed...........

I have this almost 5" fish for a few days. Today while checking for ich I noticed that the base of the pectoral fins are "red"! I've seen PBT's before but never took a close look. Otherwise he has been very active and eats a lot.

I've seen some specimens where the base of the pectoral fin is red.

Thank you so much Dr. Fish! I just went on the net and watched many images of PBT's and found about 1/3 have that. Now I'm relieved after this assurance from you, although I'll keep observing the fish.
