Please review my plumbing

Hello,

I am plumbing my sump in the garage. There will be two return pump feeding a single tank pipe. (Which are on the right of the picture (only one check valve is shown but there will be 2)

The two barb fitting on the left are to feed a UV (from the back to the front barb)

The right front 90 is to feed the display.

The T at the back is to feed a manifold. I'm actually not sure it's placed where it should be, and if I should remove it. As if both pump stop display water would flow back via that manifold and the check valve would not be useful.

Any tips?

I figured out that the T for the manifold should be between one of the pump and it's check valve.
 
Honestly, I think it’s overly complicated. Use one pump to run the UV. If you want to flow it back to the tank, give it a separate return line. The other pump supplies the main manifold and back to the tank. If you use the same pump for both, you can swap in the UV pump should the main fail. The way you have it now, the pumps will be mostly fighting each other.

Agreed. Plus, if he is running two return pumps, he should increase pipe size to accommodate for more flow. If I'm reading and understanding what he is saying correctly that is.
 
I think he means they are not reliable. They always fail at some point because of the salt deposit.

Actually, they fail because every surface of our tanks grows something. In this case, it’s the sealing surface. Just a small growth of something and the valve leaks. Best to design the system to not need them.
 
I’ll just pop in to add that Schedule 80 pipe has an appreciably smaller ID than Schedule 40! — consider this when calculating pipe size for a target flow rate!

Schedule 80 fittings increase in OD to achieve the greater wall thickness, but the pipe has to become more constrictive in ID to increase in wall thickness!
