Yep. If you don’t need to use a push fitting then there’s no reason to get complicated.

I stuck the RO tubing inside the barb fitting of an 80gph pump for an ATO. Fit well enough inside the male end of whatever size (i think maybe 3/8"?) hose barb fitting it came with. If that helps lol
