Can't seem to find specific information on this topic. I have aquired a 60 gallon cube aquarium that is reef ready drilled in the corner. The holes predrilled are drilled to fit 1" bulkheads and both are the same size. This will be my first reef with an under tank sump. I will be using an eshopps r-100 sump.
My question is can I install a 1" pvc durso drain and a 1" return to a 3/4" loc line to the tank?

Yes!

Just use a pvc reducer (1" to 3/4") to attach the threaded end of the locline.

Can't find that where I live. I've been ordering my parts from reef supplies in Montreal. They have a 90 degrees and then a 1 " slip to 3/4" fpt reducer.

Now that I am clear on the plumbing, can I get some advice on a return pump. I really like the DC pumps. I have been reading that a 1" drain will flow around 600gph into the sump. The return will consist of 1 x T-valve, 1 x 90 degree, 1 flap check valve. As well the other side of the T will go through a gate valve and 2 x T valves for a gfo and carbon reactors. Total hieght from pump to top is about 4 ft. I estimated that I could lose up to 500 to 600 gph on my return plumbing, so I would need a minimum of 1200gph. If I do go with a DC pump, I could just go bigger and run at a medium speed right? I like the Jebao 12000 or the vectra m1.

Sure you can.
Just put the output of exactly the input path model at the end of the job.
