Looking for some advice for the following:

I’m in the process of installing my utility sink in my fish room.

Above the sink location, I have the rough in plumbing for the future vent which is labeled.

I am using an ejector pump on the sink to push the waste to the main drain above.

My thought is if I extend the clean out, I can install the ejector pump to this connection and add a new clean out.

I also wanted to connect my RODI waste directly to this overhead plumbing so that my ejector pump doesn’t have to run consistently when making water. Since I can mount the RODI unit on the wall above the sink, the waste line would only have to push a few feet vertically which I believe is no issue.

Any tips for best way to connect

In general, yes the existing WYE that is the clean out would be extended to another wye fitting. However, I think because you have a vertical coming into that WYE you can't just tack on another one without adding space in between. If memory serves, there should be 10x pipe diameters between the existing drain entry and the new one for the ejector. But, I am not sure, ejectors have some odd codes and may vary greatly by AHJ and I am assuming that vertical is the main stack from the upper floors.

You need a check valve, and above that a shut off valve to isolate the ejector if the check valve fails.

Don't take my word for it, my plumbing code knowledge is not as strong as my NEC knowledge and I don't have an up to date code reference handy. I would post your question over at terrylove.com They (at least used to be) very helpful to homeowners.

For the RO/DI waste. By code, it should be air gapped. You don't want sewage back feeding your RO/DI. I would not hard plumb it into my waste stack. Is your laundry on an ejector or the floor above via gravity? The easiest place to discharge is into the washing machine standpipe.
