Not sure what you are doing. Is the clamps not holding the tube?

No the tube connected to the ball valve won't stay in the connector that I put on sump pump. Sorry for the confusion

did you use a wrench to tighten the plastic hose clamp or your fingers?

im a lil confused about what you are trying to accomplish as well.

what is the small piece of tubing with black threaded fitting on either end used for? where are you trying to connect the tube from the ball valve?
more details/pics might be helpful

I used a wrench to tighten them. The small tubing with the black thread one end screws into the sump pump. Then the return tube went into the other end of the black threaded tube (tube with ball valve). I'm trying to create a secure connection between the black tube and the tube connected to the ball valve. It was secure for a few hours then came loose and water disaster all over lolx

you need to get the proper fitting to go from tubing to tubing. should have barbs on both ends. that tubing is not gonna attach to the black threaded fitting in any way acceptable.

additionally, you wanna ditch the metal hose clamps and get plastic for all of em.

Got it I'll go and grab the plastic after work. Do you know what name I should look for/ ask for to get barbs on both ends at lowes? I'm trying to get my 60g cube running later tonight without having any stress of a disaster again lol.

Or a diagram of how it should look / set up? Sorry I'm new with sumps and piping and most of this came assembled already when I went and pick up the tank
