Thought I try this plumbing question on here for my fellow DIYers -

I had to install a new shut off valve under my bathroom sink to allow a BRS RO/DI installation. I used a sharkbite compression shut off valve - install went fine, but I have slow drip leak coming out of the compression nut off the shut off valve. Despite trying to redo the valve install several times (including trying to tighten), I still have a leak.

Any recommendations to fix!? ie, what about silicone, cauk, teflon tape? I am a novice regarding plumbing issues!

thanks

Can you post pics. It is hard to tell from your description where the problem is.

They are the same. Did you use it?

Also I think that there is a washer to help with the seal too. Did you see or make sure that the tee had it?

There was a washer that i used.
I did not use thread tape. Ill try that !
Any opinion on compression vs push fit shut valves?
