So I am in the planning stages of plumbing a soon to be purchased new 125, custom drilled for a Reef Synergy overflow. My question is, my sump, a Trigger Platinum 39, has 1" fittings for the inflow, including for the emergency overflow. So, I know I will need to transition from 1 1/2" that leaves the overflow to 1" into the sump. Where should I reduce the line? At the overflow end, the sump end, or some point in between? My current tank is soft plumbed, so I didn't have to do any of this.
