So I had built a stand to house my tank when I was in the process of moving. On the day of the move I saw a perfect desk that I could use instead on the side of the road. The issue is that it is about 6” taller than what the old stand was. How would you close this gap? There is another union just under table level in this picture. And ball valves under that. 3/4” pvc.

Replace the whole pipe so you don't have to add another union.
