Hi!

I’m upgrading my sump and it will definitely require some updated plumbing. I think I’ll eventually figure it out but hopefully can avoid hours of wasted time and money (first timer).

Current set up is red sea xl 200 and putting in a trigger system sapphire cube 20. Pics below. Thanks a for any advice tips!

There are some good threads on here about replacing that diaphragm valve with a gate valve. Those have a lifespan for efficient operation and mine limits how much flow I can have. It's ok...but it's first thing I'd do if I were swapping out sump.

Maybe it was Youtube - so much out there. Parts list in description.

thanks for the tip! i remember reading something about that at one point and this would be the time.
