I figured it out, I have my turnover way the hell too high. I got my sdc 6 at 50 percent which is causing the water to launch through the weir. I’m grateful for everyone trying to help me diagnose.

I have exactly the same overflow box Eshopps in my 75 gallon. Its just the design that the internal overflow box is higher than the eternal box which causes a waterfall effect.
So solution is lower the flow on your return pump via controller, valves, or restrictor like RFG or increase the water level in the external box so it lessens the height of the water fall but you can only raise that so much before it overflows to your floor.

I have also tried putting some kind loose foam or strings on the internal box so that the water can slide on the string but it will get clogged up overtime which causes flooding.

When i upgraded, i switch to exotic marine overflow which have the same box height so you can have the maximum flow without any noise at all.

I’m a little frustrated with the noise from the inside no of the box. I slowed the pump down a little bit but not one mention online in any review of the internal noise. It sucks because I put so much thought and resources into this build and it being silent was a major. Thankfully my wife isn’t perturbed. I put some foam in there for a few hours but after thinking about it I knew that inevitably one day it would flood.

I reduced my sdc 6 down to 30 percent and that greatly reduced the waterfall noise to a much more appropriate level
