Hello! I am resetting my parent’s tank due to pocillipora spreading itself all over the place, and while I have been fragging out corals I want to keep, I discovered my clam has some pocillipora growing on it. Any advice on the safest way to remove the pest sps?

Thank you!

First would try a Scalpel with a new blade should take it off. My fragging tool set came with one. Scalpels use 420 steel as opposed to xacto knife blades that dont have the same strength. Also would be able to do this in its spot. Would use your other hand to keep the clam in place if needed.

+1 epoxy

Just kneed up a small ball and smother the coral. This can be done underwater and should only take a few minutes to do.
