Pocillopora Eradication

I had a Pocillopora spawn and now have about 2 dozen. What's the best way to remove from rock of eradicate them? Any suggestions?

I had the same thing happen when the tank was young. Started with one, now I have 7 or 8. I just keep them trimmed way back, and haven't had another spawning event(knock on wood). I've read where people have trimmed them back as far as possible and covered them with Kalk paste. Don't know how effective it is.
