So I broke this guy up today into four chunks like this he is pretty white is that because he isn’t getting light down there he was the size of a softball prolly larger.

Dead skeleton that was all alive but new growth caused lack of light looks great on top but underneath that just happens
 
Seems normal to me.. my colony the size of a cantalope is like that.
