how much it is okay to let your alkalinity drop currently I have a 10 gallon and it drop 1 dkh every 3-4 days is it okay to let it drop that much before dosing? I don't have an auto dozer right now but I am looking in to it
Just dose every day when you feed the fish.

I dose about 1,000 ml of brs soda ash, 1,000 ml of calcium chloride, 160 ml of mag, and 1.4 gallons of kalk limewater per day to try to keep ALK at 8 to 8.2 and cal at 440. Apex alarm daily after photo period to as low as 7.5 alk and 370 for cal. Corals grow very good, way to many snails reproducing and very fast Coraline algae. Only takes a week to get chicken pox spots on a new rock. Before kalk and co2 scrubber I was only dosing 60 ml per day of soda ash. Not sure if i am doing something wrong or right, but hard to keep up with this 175 gallon tank. I use neptune trident controlled dosing. There is a lot of precipitate in the return chamber where everything is dosed. Return pump lasts about 2 months before freezing up, and there is a decent pile of sand where i dose. Thinking the dosing all day long close together is causing the aditives to precipitate out
