it's nice I don't have to read 10 different opinions on a subject in a thread.we see here that everyone agrees a tank requires cleaning every so often depending on nutrient level, cuc, lighting, ocd and nagging.
I have two tanks,a 54 corner with no skimmer,no reactors really no nothing but 20+ fish and lots of corals under a 250 hqi and t-5's.i'm afraid to test the nitrate levels cause it aint broke.it needs to be cleaned every 3 or 4 days or the wife thinks i'm lazy but can go longer.the 200 gal. use to need cleaning every 3 or 5 days but sense adding a 50 watt sterilizer I get around 2 weeks or so before the bottom half needs some love.i do it with a 10+year magfloat that i'm to cheap to replace.again ain't broke ain't fixin it.it's a little smooth and doesn't catch much sand so it's less likely to scratch the glass.no body likes a scratch in the glass.
clean as you must and if anyone says your glass is dirty just point to your magnetic cleaner and tell them"it ain't broke"
note to self:start a company called reef maid.find ocd reefers and charge them way to much $ for the service.
