Poll: Is Valentine's Day a Real Holiday?

When my wife was alive, we always observed Valentine's - and I'd sneak home at lunchtime and throw Valentine's candies all over my kids' bedrooms. The candies were wrapped, which was a good thing, as they'd sometimes find reminders of the day six or eight months later, when they were cleaning their rooms.

Last year, he put a large stuffed bear in my car and at 5am I almost called the police thinking someone was in my car. We still laugh about that

I consider it a real holiday, but more as a religious holiday vs. a secular holiday.

It's a Hallmark holiday. I prefer doing something nice for the wifey on a random day than a day it's expected. Plus everything costs more on V day. Today is the day for the clearance sales.
