All of our holidays in this country persist for corporate interests. We're just pawns buying crap we don't need because they say it's a "special day." Lol, but it's kind of true.
I'm not complaining though. My wife woke up and made me pancakes today!

I agree with this. It's definitely a fake holiday, but it's also still nice. We'll usually go out to Buffalo Wild Wings or something because the lines everywhere else are insane and she loves chicken wings.

My wife and I haven't celebrated it in a few years. We actually celebrate March 15 which is the day we started dating, still, instead. That way it has some meaning.

Best part about this is we don't pay the holiday markups for gifts and we can actually go eat at a restaurant without booking a month out and being stuck with a pre fixe menu. It's really a win win. Valentines day is totally a Card company holiday.

Bet we'd all be Valentines Day fanatics if BRS had a LUST sale.

Me and my skimmer celebrated!

Dave and I will be married 37 years in June and were dating almost 5 years prior to that and were buddy friends 2+ years before that. I hardly remember life without him! We are starting to get to an age where we consider time with each other a precious gift and we don't need a holiday for that. We do get cards however.

heck no it’s a made up holiday by the dang card and flower giants. If you only show your wife or husband, boyfriend, girlfriend or mistress love on one day a year that’ll tell you why you’re single.

Its a fake holiday, but also happens to be the day of my first date, and the day we got engaged 3 years later. We go to the same restaurant every year (I set the bar high for a first date... lol). Today happens to be our 5 year anniversary of when we started dating. So I don't believe in the holiday, but it has meaning to me now.
