mines basically in the living room. My house has this 1/3 wall, if it was complete it could be a small 4 bedroom house, instead it has this 1/3 wall that sort of separates the area the tank is in from my living room. ...its basically in the living room.....

My tank currently started with the purchase of my first house. It was known that a large aquarium was going to be part of the fun of renovating the new place. The idea was to use a third bedroom that shared a common wall with the living room, cut a giant hole and put the biggest tank that I could find inside of that hole. I could then use that third bedroom and turn it into my fish room.

I removed 2 walls to join my kitchen, living room, and hallway. My tank can be viewed from anywhere that isn't a bedroom or bathroom. It is one of the main display areas of my house and I'm still building my canopy/ surrounding shelves. It's going to be an impressive setup when I'm done. I am impatient though so while the tank is still going through a few ugly phases in this high traffic area, I'm getting frustrated.

I picked "other," but in the past it was my son's bedroom. I guess you'd now call it a den....with the big screen TV. We call it the fish room.

Home office and I am still lobbing cutting a hole between the mater and the living room, but that one keeps getting vetoed. Plan B is to have a large cube off the master so I can look at it through the door but also can be seen from the kitchen, dinning, and living room.

Is this like a studio apartment? or all the rooms are connected in a fashion that you can see it from any room?
