I’ve never seen or heard of this before but it looks like a museum. He’s literally standing in the tank spraying his coral with a hose he’s a human freakin sprinkler. I was ticked when my 180 broke a seal and let half the water this dude literally lost 10 thousand gallons that’s insane

🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🥲🥲🥲 Major Catastrophic Chain Of Events A Million To One Chances ! l !! We Lost Over 10k Gallons Very Quickly In Middle Of The Night. We Will Keep You Posted As We Assess The Damage !!

Edit: Here at Polo Reef we have fail safes, alarms in place and a computer that Andrew likes to call “Skynet”. More info on what happened to come as soon as we take care of what’s most important at the moment, the corals and fish not only in the 17k aquarium but every system that is connected to the 17k. - The Polo Reef Team.

If i had to guess... a valve was left open and pumped all night.

I've done that with my 22k pool and felt silly for doing such a bone headed move.
I saw a video that said a pump and valve failed and back syphoned 10k worth of water.

Where’s that located and is it all private or store front or? I’d pay to go look at that tank before this happened. Hey congrats on winning that contests beautiful picture.

The loss of a lifetimes worth of work is hard to imagine. Maybe not all of it, but from what I heard on his wifes video the whole top of the reef is dead.
Hopefully some of it will come back, but major colonies are lost.

I can't imagine trying to find salt mix and RODI during this emergency. Trying to frag colonies and move them down lower, or into other systems, calling local stores and reefers to help out isn't much of a workable option for small systems in most cases. First Chuck Norris and now this. It's been a challenging week for certain.

law and order crazy shit GIF
