Pom pom crab disappeared

Hey people

1 month ago Ive added some inverts, some shrimps, snails and crabs
its a 220 gal mix reef with anemones and no fish

i only saw pom pom crab once like 5 days after i put in the tank, tank is fed heavily with myses and other food every night

any thoughts, is it still alive, is gonna appear, what kinda life style is the crab living?

That's normal for pompom crabs in larger reefs.I had one in a 125g and would only see it once every couple months.I wouldn't worry

I had a female in my 125 that I only saw every other month or so when she was carrying eggs, lasted about a year like that until I just didn't see her anymore

It is most likely living a life style of debauchery and crime. :)

I would think your best bet at seeing it is after lights out with a red light.

Make sense,
So either get 10 of them, increase chance of seeing it or just accept their life style.

Love the lifestyle of debauchery and crime. Lol.

It is normal not to see them much. I have learned where mine hangs out so I can usually spot him if I look in that area. But he stays pretty hidden when the lights are on. Occasionally I have seen him be out and about and going after food. It is pretty funny to see him waving his Pom poms in warning to others that get too close.
