My lfs just got some Pom poms in stock. I have. Been a hermit collector this year with Halloween. Blue legged. Mexican red leg and Scarlett. Everyone doing great together. Is a Pom Pom reef safe. I’ve heard of them killing fish. There’s all kinds of up and down Info online and I’m. Not sure if it’s worth it ?

It’s my understanding that these are one of the only reef safe crab. Since they always hold tiny anemones, they can’t do any damage with their claws and they are filter feeders. You may be thinking of a sally Lightfoot or coral banded shrimp?

These are so cool, but being so small you'd need a nano with very limited hiding spots if you ever want to see them. I think I have one in my 14g. I ccan't imagine them ever being able to harm anything.

I have one in my 75 gallon; and I see him daily [he comes out when I feed]--he also chose a cave at the front, so I can see him there...since I know he's there; I wouldn't have noticed if I was just looking, though
