Wasn't sure if this was a baby bristle worm or not but it seriously skeeved me out so I tossed him. Did I make a mistake? I actually removed two of them.

Harmless member of the cuc, while unattractive they do an excellent job of getting to the areas of the tank other cuc member can not get to like under rocks, cracks and crevices. I have my doubts that they can be completely eradicated from systems. Larger/huge ones have never proved troublesome for me. Keep populations of bristle worms under control by not over feeding, avoid them when working in tanks and it's all good. If I inadvertently remove them I just put them back in the tank.
