Just got some new live rock and found this living on it. It is quite small, probably only a few millimeters in length. Anyone able to possibly ID it? (Small black organism in center of image)

Wasn't sure, looked to be to dark. Thank you.
They can come in a range of colors. I've seen black, pink, pink and red, whitish, tan, and purple ones. Some actually look cool but definitely not worth the trouble.

How would you suggest getting rid of it? Aptasia X? Kalkwasser paste?

Can you remove the rock? Injecting while in the tank can cause an outbreak. If you can remove the rock and then remove the aptaisia then that would be best IMO. Make sure you leave nothing behind. Normally I'd scrape it off then use a rough brush to make sure there were no little pieces left. Rinse in a separate bucket of saltwater and good to go.

Will do thank you!
