Possible Divorce Frag Build

Current State:

In process of tearing down all tanks and putting things in tanks in the house.

One tank down and one to go.

Phase 1 of kessil light mount done. Brackets are only for setting it all up and temp running of them. Still have to build T5 setup out. This currently gives 1 kessil every 2’ of length. The overflow is coast to coast on far end and 11.5” with a .5” piece for the weir.

I have shades for them that my son designed. I just have to find the files. :)

That would be awesome, but they will be in a floating hood/shelf. Sitting at my desk and looking over isn’t bad.

18” from water, 13” to sand and getting 250 par average at 50% intensity and 45% color on the sand. Should be at the 400 or so with ease once I add the t5s. Especially as I hung the NEs and not the WEs for now.

I love shallow tanks lol.

Yup. Will not feed by hand like I did about an hour ago. He can eat my finger and has teeth lol. Was not expecting that lol.

Lights are now running and set to same par as the old photon v1’s they replaced.

Also, light are 16” from water not 18”.

how do i make an anenome not shrivel up and die in my tank? i kinda want to get another one but they allways start spitting up white stuff and shrivel away and die even though they are like perfect lighting, flow, perams etc.

Well, some not so good and maybe bad news.

Big momma clown is acting like she is gonna pass. Can’t sit in nem, as it appears to sting her, no eggs this morning like there should have been and the male is ignoring her. She looked a little sluggish the past few days and wasn’t as interested in the new mertens as she typically is with new nems, so knew something was off. No signs of disease, breathing relatively slow, so the signs of old age are there. Just sucks she can’t even lay in a nem at this point.

Had her for just over 30 years. I estimate she is 31 or so. This fish has been with me longer than my wife lol. Been through at least 50 tank moves, lived in my dads sump for almost 2 years when I was at basic and then other stuff. Then in tanks that were halfway neglected while deployed.

just sucks. But at least it had a good life, at least I hope so.

She is currently sitting in the ricordia garden and the shrooms are actually not closing up for once. Kinda nice of them.

Debating on clove oil to euthanize or just let her pass and the reef take her back. Tough decision for sure.

Well, not much to update. Been stalled on getting lights over the Mangrove lagoon, as gonna wait until week after next.

Going to be collecting most of next week, as will be in FL. Will also do some fishing for food lol. I eat my friends, so sucks for the fishes lol.

Plan is to dive 3-4 days and collect, fish a couple (rod/reel and spear), collect some nems and zoas from my special spot, and do some snorkeling in some grass beds on the Indian River Lagoon. The last bit may end up with some collecting, but not sure yet. Got to scope it out first.

But will leave you a pic of the not so shy now blackear wrasse. (Halichoeres poeyi for @Crabby48 and @SaltyT since they do all that fancy proper name stuff lol)

I rushed here think you would give me a Halichoeres bivittatus. Black ear will do I guess. Looks like her grew a lot in this picture.
